The new fascial ‘facelift’ is here!

Carmela is one of the first to train in this new treatment method in the UK and it’s now available here at the spa!

The treatment incorporates a stunning facial routine using innovative ‘hands on’ fascial massage techniques aimed at lifting and smoothing the skin.

What does it do?

  • Improves skin suppleness
  • Reduces and releases muscle tension in the face and jaw
  • Releases stuck fascia within the layers of the skin
  • Reduces expression lines and wrinkles
  • Tightens the skin and underlying muscles
  • Stimulates rejuvenation and cellular activity
  • Aids lymphatic circulation increasing the supply of nutrients to the cells
  • Aids the removal of dead skin cells

The lasting effects vary from person to person.  Normally the lift effect will last for 2-4 days after the first treatment and the greatest improvement is often 24 hours after the treatment.  Great for women and men of all ages and ideal if you prefer to avoid light therapy or CACI machine treatments.

Although no creams or oils are is used during the fascial massage itself, the facial does incorporate our beautiful PHYTO5 organic skin care from Switzerland.  The face is gently cleansed and toned and the treatment completed with a serum and day cream suited to your skin type.

What is fascia and how does this facial work?

Fascia is a specialised system within the body often referred to as the ‘endless web’. It is a band or sheet of connective tissue, primarily collagen, beneath the skin that attaches, stabilises, encloses, and separates muscles and other internal organs. It is present at different layers within the body as one continuous structure from head to toe without any interruption, connecting every part of the body.

The fascial facial uses specifically designed techniques for the face and neck.  These techniques result in a natural lift effect and also induce relaxation.

Tension builds up in the facial muscles just as it does everywhere else in the body.  Our face is also exposed to the elements as well as fighting gravity.  Facial tension, congested blood flow, poor lymph drainage, illness or poor nutrition can cause puffiness, lines and wrinkles.

Our face is our mask to the world.  Stress and trauma can be locked deep into the muscles and energy of the face, head and neck.  We wear our emotions on our face. This advanced method of facial massage not only addresses the surface of the skin but the superficial fascial tissue.
